“ This is a tiny spot—just 12 bar seats—but it delivers everything you’d expect from a starred restaurant. The service is friendly, the food is excellent, and the oysters were unbelievably fresh. But the real star of the night was the fish and chips: clean, crispy, and perfectly flaky inside. Honestly, one of the best I’ve had. With such limited seating, a reservation is highly, highly recommended. I saw them turn away quite a few walk-ins while I was there. ”
“ Unbelievably fresh food. Small quaint location away from the crowds. The staff was friendly and didn’t rush you at all. This was the only reservation we had while in Dublin and I highly recommend going here if you want amazing fish and chips. ”
“ The lovely man behind the bar squeezed me in to a booked out lunch sitting. Booked out and I can see why! Gorgeous little shop, delicious food and friendly, authentic service. Like a sit down version of the old Burdocks I remember from my childhood. That's high praise! Highly recommended. ”
“ Best fish and chips in Dublin! Perfectly crispy batter with moist fish. The chips were perfectly cooked and not greasy. We tried a lot of places while we were in Ireland and this was by far the best. Would recommend trying to book a place in advance as the inside only has a few seating options. However, they offer take away for the fish and chips! ”
“ The first thing you notice is the charming little shop front – it immediately draws you in with its cozy and stylish vibe. Inside, you’re met with an impressive selection of wines that perfectly complement the menu. Every starter we tried was absolutely delicious, carefully prepared and full of flavor. For the main course, we went with the classic: Fish and Chips – and it was the absolute highlight of the evening. Perfectly crispy, fresh, and simply unforgettable. The service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome throughout the evening. We had made a reservation, which is definitely recommended. Although it’s located a bit outside the city center, it’s more than worth the trip. A true hidden gem in Dublin! ”
“ Get ONLY fish and chips and wine. Their fish and chips were insanely good with thick chips, light batter and delicious tartar sauce. The wine list is quite extensive but the prices are good and the staff were very helpful in choosing the right ones. We also got the calamri which were very good, oysters that weren't as fresh as they should be and definitely served too warm. For some reason they serve them on a bed of salt instead of ice? The worst dosh was probably the scallops which were small, too mild and not cooked properly. They also came with aioli that was useful only because the scallops themselves lacked flavour and some watery sauce that didn't add anything. Also worth mentioning that the place is very small, and the sitting is not comfortable. Make sure to book. ”
“ Make reservations! Great fish and chips! We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters, small order of mussels, hubby got the regular and I got the gluten free haddock fish and chips. The oysters were huge and very tasty, Kelly’s Giga’s Oysters. The mussels were normal, on the smaller side, called Killary Fjord Mussels. The fish was one whole large slices of fish, not the typical chunks. The chips were hand cut. ”
“ Small restaurant focusing primarily on upmarket fish and chips, nice selection of starters and the other main option on the evening we visited was lobster. Nice atmosphere, wines by the glass were a bit limited and overall a pleasant experience. Fish and chips were incredible to be fair. Booking recommended given how small it is. ”
